I've been trying to snag a copy of this record since it came out last month, but as soon as we open up the boxes, these get bought up almost instantly. Brain Killer is a hardcore band from Boston, MA that plays fast, crusty & extremely noisy (tons of whirling feedback!). Generally for this type of stuff I prefer a 7" worth of material, but these dudes keep it interesting and varied through out enough where I can't help but pay close attention. Hopefully you'll have the privilege of being made deaf by Brain Killer in a basement somewhere soon. (FFO: Gauze, Disclose, Deathreat)
Playing in Hartford soon: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=198471190188258

Delayscape Morse Disco CD
(Anna Logue Records)
This came out late last year on a small import label dedicated to synth music (generally of a more pop variety - though not of the popular radio variety). It's a pretty excellent label and I may do a spotlight feature on it in the future. For now, I'm letting you know about this excellent electro double disc set by Delayscape. Delayscape lays down thick chunky (yes, the redundancy is necessary) synth lines with generally pulsating beats. Elektro, even, with a Detroit techno influence. Think of Legowelt or Drexciya or even DMX Krew. Jam.
